Departure from Bangalore to Coimbatore
On Thursday we started pour weekend trip to the hillstations Connor and Ooty about 250 km - 300 km away from Bangalore. Now on the pictures to the right you see an airplane so you might wonder why we chose the plane for such a short distance. The reason is easy - by car it takes you in India about 8-9 hours of traveling time, whereas by plane only 45 minutes. 
Therefore we decided to go by plan to Coimbatore, the next major city, go up to Ooty by the famous Nilgi express and have Kubendram our driver pick us up at the terminal station in Ooty and return to Bangalore by car.
Naturally AirDeccan - the first and only Inidan lowcost carrier - was delayed by 2 horus, however they at least sent me an SMS announcing the delay. This offered us the opportunity to have diner in Bangalore at Sufi a persian place with wonderful persian food also decorated in a arabic style. The food was really excellent, even our small pilot liked it.
